Prayer For Families
Lord, Your Word tells us to choose either Life and Blessing or Death and Cursing. We know that there is the power of life and death in the tongue. We state to you as your children, your called, and your anointed that we choose life and blessing.
We choose to proclaim your blessings and then to walk in victory in our marriages and families. Every head of every household proclaims - "As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord." Lord, because you have blessed us, we desire to be a blessing to others.
We confess as parents that our marriages need to be strengthened in these last days. With Christ as our foundation, we seek guidance from the Holy Spirit.
We confess as parents that we receive our strength from you and stand as mighty warriors today for the Gospel’s sake and that our children are as arrows in our hands. They will hit the target in their natural life and for the Kingdom of God. We believe that because we are the proper example to our children and because we have brought them up in your training and instruction, then they too will be victorious through all walks of life. As we as parents walk in integrity, so shall our children. Because we train up our children in the way they should go, when they grow old, they will not depart from it. It will be well with them and they will live a long and prosperous life. They will honor us as their parents and not bring shame to us. As they grow up, they shall call us as their parents - "Blessed."
We believe that you have already chosen their mates for life and that they will not be led astray by evil men and women. They will not succumb to lusts and temptations from the world.
Wealth and riches will be in our house to provide for our family and enough will be left over to provide an inheritance for our children and our children’s children. We will guide our homes with discretion and with the promises of God and the direction of the Holy Spirit. Our soul purpose will be to bring glory and honor to you, Oh, Lord.
We confess and believe that the path for our family grows brighter every day. No problem will be bigger than the Word of God or the Holy Spirit. No evil shall befall us and no plague will come near our dwelling. We say that sickness and lack are intruders in our home, and must leave, because we are your property, purchased by the blood and the stripes of Jesus Christ. We declare our home to be healed and whole. And finally, since our children are taught of the Lord, great is their peace. Your peace now rules in our hearts and reigns in our homes.
This proclamation now stands. We proceed on to fight the good fight, to run the race, and to keep the faith. Now seal these words with the power of the Holy Spirit and brand them upon our hearts forever. In Christ’s name we pray, Amen.
